LEVAN LORTKIPANIDZE is a multi-talented musician who is capable of performing world-class performances. He is a vocalist, and an expert performer on flute, harmonica, guitar, dobro, slide guitar, Hammond, and piano. He is capable of performing several genres of music. He has been welcomed on the stage by BB King and also other notable Legendary Blues Performers. He has been welcomed into the recording studio by musicians who have worldwide followings. He has performed in documentaries, on TV and in live theater performances. He has an exceptional and varied performance history.  Levan Lortkipanidze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. After graduation from Tbilisi Conservatory, he came to Nashville, TN on a recording contract with McFarland Brothers.

  • 2018 Sopho Khalvashi Georgian Public Broadcasting Music TV series Acustica performing live.

  • 2017 Together with Sopho Khalvashi performed for world famous Georgian NBA Basketball player Zaza Pachulia’s homecoming concert.  The concert was broadcast live on Imedi TV.

  • 2017 – 2020 Lead guitarist, harmonica, flute, and singer at Georgian Blues band “Old Road Band”. Have performed various shows throughout Georgia.

  • 2016 Together with Sopho Kkhalvashi and Band performed at New Year’s live TV concert which was broadcasted live at Rustavi 2 Channel

  • 2012 Performing flute at Artgeni Folk Music Festival together with Internationally recognized Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili ASA Party

 

MILITARY SERVICE (from time in US until time in his home country of Georgie) --51t Georgian Infantry Battalion and U.S. Marine Corps detachment was deployed as a civilian military interpreter during NATO Resolute Support mission at Bagram Air Base, Parwan Province Afghanistan.  Serving NATO ISAF Mission in Helmand Province Afghanistan as a Georgian-English Military Translator.

  • 2010 Featuring artist together with Mauldin Brothers at Morgan Freeman’s Ground Zero Blues Club.

  • 2009 – Featured recording artist on Alphonso Sander’s Album Mississippi Influence’ recorded at B.B. King Studio.

  • 2009 – at Mississippi Valley University as a blues artist participated in Blues Workshop together with Grammy Nominated artists Branford and Delfeayo Marsalis.

  • 2009 – Featured artist together with Legendary Blues Harmonica Player Billy Branch at B.B. Kings Club Ebony.

  • September 17, 2009, to October 10, 2009, Together with Synetic Theatre performing William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Philostrate/Flute, Guitar).

  • February 2010 together with Synetic Theatre received the Helen Hayes Awards: Category - The Canadian Embassy Award  for Outstanding Ensemble at the Warner Theatre, Washington D.C.

  • May 2008 W.C. Handy Blues Awards Ceremony performed live show together with W. C. Handy award nominee Big George Brocks and iconic blues guitarist Hubert Sumlin.

  • August 2008 together with David Lee Durham participated at the B.B. King Museum Grand Opening Ceremony in Indianola, Mississippi performed together with David Lee Durham.

  • August 2008 was featured artist at B.B. King International blues music workshop with B.B. King and his band.

  • September 2008 together with David Lee Durham and Ladies Choice band played as an opening act for B.B. King and his band in Indianola Mississippi.

  • October 2007 featured as Hammond organ and Harmonica player on famous Southern Rock Bank “The Electric Mudd” Album with title “Back to the Deaden”.

  • November 2006 - performed together with David Lee Durham and Ladies Choice band at the 12th annual Luzern Blues Festival in Switzerland

  • September 2006 - Opening act for B.B. King and his band at Homecoming Festival in Indianola, Mississippi.

  • August 2006 Sunflower River Blues and Gospel Festival Performing with David Lee Durham and Blues Band. Also performed together with Legendary Blues Artis Cadillac John.

  • May 2006 Together with legendary blues guitarist Hubert Sumlin futured as a blues artist on Big George Brocks Blues Album “Round Two”.
